I tried all the combinations with x and f (shift, alt, cntrl), while landed. Nothing worked. I'm not looking to space him.

try these while in space...then blast the sucker to oblivion...should work

I ended up removing him from my cargo by going into the config of the saved game and just deleting him out. Worked well, made sure to save the original first.

We removed hitchhickers from 1.03.

uhhh.... I've had a hitchhiker in 1.03, from the manchester system. I don't think it was quite removed fully.

This system kicks butt because there's a ship dealer and 3 nav points, and 1 jump point. Getting bounties and defend missions, and patrol missions seem to pay a pretty penny(they want a 9 nav patrol, and you only have to go to 2 really).
I got fairly rich before figuring out how to edit everything.
