Are there simple instructions on how to compile trunk in VS2008? VS2010? Is Eclipse build available?

No eclipse build, but you are more than welcome to create one using the cmake build files.

kdevelop usually imports the cmake file without a hitch

Hi everyone,

ok, I post here, because my other threads don't seem to get the attention of the "official guys" ... ;)

I like PGG very much although I would like to see it a bit more improved graphically and also extended game-wise (similar to PU, but better ;) ). I know you want to keep PGG close to original, nonetheless most graphical stuff would improve PGG as well as PU or whatever Wing Commander/Vegastrike based game.

So what I could offer:

transfer old in-game graphics to higher resolution (that makes sense if the original graphics are good enough)
draw new textures for ships and planets (makes sense for very LR graphics)
do little programming and bug-hunting

I already have some experience with campaign programming for VS/PGG. Some months ago I tried to make a simple campaign with some branches (just as a test how far I could get), but the campaign stoped working when I tried to start the second campaign mission. I never found out why and finally gave up... I also did some unit/weapon/system editing, so far just for me...

So, is there any interest from the official side in improving the game further?

The biggest problem right now is getting the PGG python files updated to run with the latest VS engine code. They are somewhat buggy when you use the latest engine code (which uses 2.7?)

Are you still looking for developers? I am an extremely experienced C++ developer with far too much time coding and I just happen to be very interested in WCP. I loved the game when released and I think it is time for it (or something very similar) to return.

Hi guys, I'm an experienced vfx modeler/surfacing artist... I loved this game as a kid and wouldn't mind contributing. Great job with the faithful reconstruction so far.
